Bucket List Chocolate Brownie - Chocolate Ice Cream with Chocolate Brownies

The flavor for today is another new flavor from the Pumphouse Creamery in South Minneapolis.  They have quite a few new flavors this winter!  This one is called Bucket List Chocolate Brownie.  At first glance, it looks like a standard implementation of a chocolate fudge brownie.  On second glance, they are using a flourless chocolate cake instead of standard brownies.  So, this is gluten free.

The top of the bit has the expected deep brown color of a chocolate base.  The first spoonful is pretty chocolatey as expected.  It's a good chocolate.  The flourless cake/brownie mix-ins are small and hard to find at first but they get larger and easier to find as I eat my way down the pint.  Rather than being chunky and chewy, these mix-ins have the texture of a swirl.  The mix-ins provide extra chocolate and taste quite good.

This is a decent implementation of a chocolate fudge brownie.  The flourless cake pieces had a fudgey rather than a chewy texture to them but that is a plus for me.  If you are at the Pumphouse scoop shop and feel like having something more chocolatey than just chocolate, then give this one a try.
